Counting and forming a set of objects

I am learning to count and form a set of objects from 1-13. First I chose a space background. Then I wrote the number and the numeral. Next was my favourite part - choosing the stickers. Mrs Bovill helped me type the sentence. Then I typed my name.

It was a little bit tricky to get the right number of stickers. I had to keep counting. It is tricky because sometimes I forget what way the number faces. I liked choosing the stickers for my poster.

Mrs Bovill is now going to print all of our wonderful posters so I can sort these and then use them to help me count down backwards like a rocket countdown.

Recount Writing

We have been learning to write longer stories by adding more details.  This is my story about Ambury Farm.

"I went to go to school for a farm trip.  I saw chickens and cows."

Making Patterns

In maths we have been learning how to make different patterns.

"This is my pattern.  It is red, yellow, red, yellow."

Soccer Skills Workshop

We had a soccer workshop.  We went out on the field and played lots of games.  We got to kick the ball around.

"I had fun."

Retelling a Story

We are learning to retell a story that we have read.  This is a story we read during our guided reading lesson.

"Hedgehog was hungry.  He ate a snail, a caterpillar, a slug, a worm and a beetle."

Self Portrait

We have been learning to make good colour choices.
First we drew a picture of our faces, then we chose colours to match our faces and coloured in our picture.  We then glued the face onto another piece of paper that we dyed the day before.  Next we coloured in a piece of paper for our hair and cut it out.  The last thing we did was glue the hair onto our picture.

"I found it easy to colour in my picture."
